Overview
From the first exercise, Prompt Engineering for QA treats quality as an engineering and communication discipline. Learners practise how to design prompts that produce constrained, reviewable QA outputs from reliable project context, beginning with prompt engineering as a qa design activity and progressing through context selection, grounding and source authority to tasks, roles, constraints and acceptance criteria. Learners structure roles, inputs, tasks and criteria, use examples and iterative critique, request machine-readable formats and test prompts against variations, ambiguity and unsafe information handling. The work is reviewed for clarity, repeatability and relevance to real delivery constraints. The course treats prompts as quality artefacts that need versioning, evaluation and maintenance, not one-time clever instructions.

Learning Outcomes
- Structure prompts with explicit context, task, constraints and success criteria.
- Use examples and counterexamples to improve output consistency.
- Request structured outputs suitable for review or downstream tools.
- Create evaluation cases for prompt variations and edge conditions.
- Diagnose failures caused by ambiguity, missing context or overconstraint.
