Overview
From the first exercise, Test Planning & Risk-Based Testing treats quality as an engineering and communication discipline. Learners practise how to focus test effort on product risks and create adaptable plans that remain useful as evidence and context change, beginning with test planning as a decision process and progressing through product versus project risk and stakeholder perspectives to risk identification workshops and evidence sources. Learners facilitate risk identification, assess likelihood and impact, select mitigation and test approaches, define objectives and criteria, estimate effort and update priorities through monitoring and stakeholder review. The work is reviewed for clarity, repeatability and relevance to real delivery constraints. The course replaces static plan documents with transparent decision logic connecting risk, scope, coverage and residual uncertainty.
